Internship Program


The CRHP Internship Program offers six-month internships in videography& graphic design as well as communications& development throughout the year. Since its introduction, the internship program has become a very competitive and sought after placement for new graduates from around the world. We seek individuals who want to gain work experience in the nonprofit sector as well as exposure to international development in a very rural and sometimes challenging setting. These positions offer the opportunity to learn about the inner workings of a large organization implementing programs in areas of health, environmental, and socioeconomic development in India. Incumbents will be exposed to a wide variety of work including, marketing, fundraising, programming, and evaluation in areas of public health, medicine, women’s rights, and economic and community development.

All internships are 6-month minimum and unpaid. Working hours are typically from 9am-6pm Monday through Saturday. Interns are given one-week holiday during their stay. CRHP provides room and board on its campus in Jamkhed, India to all interns. Internship does not cover flight to and from home country and visa fees.

 


Surgical Camp Internship


This is a new and unique internship for someone interested in learning every aspect of how a surgical camp is operated. CRHP is expected to host five such camps in 2017 and will require a dedicated intern to assist in all logistics, administrative, reporting and day to day management of these highly technical and often life-changing week long surgical camps in rural India.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in public health, medicine, development, or NGOs
  • Competency in Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Photoshop
  • Project management experience an asset
  • Someone with a sense of humor willing to learn and produce professional quality work in a challenging work environment
  • A creative thinker and problem-solver willing to tackle a variety of daily issues from mundane to complex

Duties May Include:

  • Manage all administrative and logistics related to the surgical camps
  • Manage communication with international and domestic medical teams
  • Coordinate patient data and selection
  • Responsible for case files, documentation, and all related follow up, electronic or otherwise
  • Manage daily needs of the medical team and operations of the surgical camp as required
  • Fundraising and donor relations
  • Draft grants and reports

Videography and Graphic Design Internship


The intern will be exposed to a wide variety of work including documentation of programs, creating short promotional videos, developing brochures and leaflets, and designing the annual report. We are currently in the process of building a series of short films about the various programs CRHP runs for training and fundraising purposes and this would be a major part of the internship.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in media production, media studies, filmmaking, or related field
  • Ability to create compelling and creative visual media
  • Experience in videography, photography, editing, and design

Duties Include:

  • Developing and managing social media platforms
  • Documenting programs
  • Creating short marketing videos
  • Helping expand the database of photos available for publications, social media, and website
  • Developing brochures for programs
  • Helping maintain and update website
  • Assisting in the management of day-to-day operations of the organization

Communications and Development Internship


 

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in public health, development, or NGOs
  • Grant Writing Experience Preferred
  • Competency in Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Photoshop
  • Complex literacy in Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social media

Duties May Include:

  • Drafting of program design plan and curriculum for the Adolescent Girls Program
  • Assistance in implementation, monitoring, and evaluation
  • Creating CRHP newsletters
  • Managing CRHP’s Blog
  • Managing CRHP’s Facebook and Twitter accounts
  • Data entry and tracking
  • Drafting grants, marketing, and communication materials
  • Developing social media and fundraising platforms
  • Donor tracking
  • Orienting and assisting international visitors to CRHP’s campus
  • Assisting in the management of day-to-day operations of the organization
